Audra Furuichi

Hailing from sunny Honolulu, Hawaii, Audra Furuichi and Scott Yoshinaga are the co-creators of nemu*nemu, an original online webcomic that has been running since 2006. The duo are inspired by not only anime and manga, but Saturday morning cartoons, Sunday funnies, and a good dose of "small kid time" nostalgia.

nemu*nemu follows the charmed lives of two tween girls, Ani and Kana, and their magical stuffed toy pup pals, Anpan and Nemu. Their adventures go just about anywhere imagination can take them; including (but not limited to) the skies via a flying box, a water world guided by an over-sized duck, and outer universes with another mysterious pup named Enchilada and his bird companion, Pollo.

Audra runs the show, publishing new comics tri-weekly while Scott assists in the shadows. She is also a past recipient of the Charles M. Schulz Award for Excellence in College Cartooning for her previous work, CultureSHOCK!
